Esta licenciada en Bellas Artes ha convertido el antiguo salón de bailedel palacioen suespaciode trabajo. La luz, los lienzos, los pigmentos y su obra —colorista, simbólica, vibrante— revelan otra faceta de la anfitriona: la artista. DRESS MUSEUM The “DressMuseum” comprises family pieces andhaute couture dresses by Cristina Ybarra. Rather than a fashion display, it is a living archive: mementos, photographs and designs holding small personal stories that she narrates with the same charm with which she talks about orange trees or Roman walls. THE PALACE DANCE HALL, NOW AN ART STUDIO The last stop on our visit is Cristina’s art studio. She graduated in Fine Arts and has turned the palace’s former dance hall into her working space. The light, canvases, pigments and her work —colourful symbolic, vibrant— reveal another side to our host: the artist. This is where heritage gives way to contemporary creations, bringing the dialogue between past and present full circle. Cristina has not only rescued an architectural jewel; she has also turned the place into the perfect setting for her own work.
