Mis responsabilidades diplomáticas son fomentar las relaciones de paz y amistad, fundamentalmente a través de los ámbitos de la cultura, educación, comercio, turismo y empresarial, entre Filipinas y España; así como la de estar al frente diariamente en el consulado. Mi prioridad es, sin duda, acompañar a la comunidad filipina en España, tanto de forma colectiva como individual, con el objetivo de lograr su plena integración en todos los ámbitos de nuestra sociedad, garantizándoles la cohesión social y el cumplimiento de sus derechos y deberes. Y construir puentes que les permitan participar activamente de las políticas sociales españolas y favorecer un modelo de interacción cultural y social. ¿Cómo ha evolucionado la comunidad filipina en la Costa del Sol en los últimos años? La comunidad filipina en el sur de España nace precisamente aquí, con el origen de Sotogrande y con la construcción de What are the main responsibilities and challenges of your role? My diplomatic duties involve fostering peaceful and friendly relations—primarily through culture, education, trade, tourism, and business—between the Philippines and Spain, as well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the consulate. Without a doubt, my priority is to support the Filipino community in Spain, both collectively and individually, with the aim of achieving full integration in all areas of our society. This includes ensuring social cohesion and the fulfilment of their rights and obligations. I also aim to build bridges that enable them to actively participate in Spanish social policies and promote a model of cultural and social interaction.
