INAUGURADO EN 1964, FUE EL PRIMER CAMPO EN EUROPA DEL DISEÑADOR MÁS PRESTIGIOSO DE LA ÉPOCA, ROBERT TRENT JONES Su origen además está íntimamente ligado a la creación de Sotogrande, ya que el Real ClubdeGolf fue el eje vertebrador del ambicioso proyecto de JosephMcMicking para el desarrollo de esta zona residencial, que sigue siendo única en Europa y que, hoy en día, se encuentra entre los mejores a nivel nacional e internacional, situando a Andalucía entre los grandes circuitos de golf mundiales.
