The documentary, which puts names and faces to them all, has travelled to the San Sebastian Gastronomic Festival, the Galicia Gastronomic Forum and has also been shown at the Málaga Film Festival. Son muchas historias, como la de Ana Corredoira, la ganadera que reivindica un modelo de ganadería extensiva, con un impacto positivo en el territorio social, ambiental y económico. O la de la Presidenta de Honor de Amas da Terra, Esther Teijeiro, una viticultora de 90 años que sigue yendo cada día a la viña y que fue la precursora del vino ecológico en los años 80. Una mujer que tuvo que romper muchas barreras, ¡Una mujer podando! Me decían que iba a ser la ruina de la ribeira. Amas da Terra es un reconocimiento a todas esas mujeres, hasta ahora invisibles. “Historias duras de mujeres muy sacrificadas que me ayudaron a crecer, a ser lo que soy. Esto es una forma de reconocimiento, de crecer juntas”, afirma Lucía. Y es que con esta red de apoyo que están tejiendo comparten conocimientos y experiencias, pero la mirada larga de Freitas va más allá y quiere convertir a estas mujeres en referentes, que estas historias lleguen a las escuelas para que los niños tengan otros modelos en los que inspirarse. And the support network that they are creating helps them to share knowledge and experience, but Freitas’ long-term plan goes beyond that.
