En este contexto Montse Martínez junto a su compañera Maribel García crearon en 2012 Babies Uganda, una ONG que trabaja para proporcionar oportunidades tanto de presente como de futuro a una población sin recursos, con especial foco en la infancia. Hoy en día, cuentan con la figura de María Galán, hija de Montse, sobre el terreno, como coordinadora de proyectos desde hace más de seis años. In Uganda, there are over two million orphans with heart-wrenching stories, almost half the children suffer food insecurity, around 10,000 live and work on the streets, and disability is still a taboo subject. Against this backdrop, in 2012, Montse Martínez and her colleague Maribel García set up Babies Uganda, an NGO that works to provide opportunities now and in the future for a population with no resources, in particular children. Today, they count on the help of María Galán, Montse’s daughter, who has been coordinating projects on the ground for over six years.
