Los proyectos se financian principalmente gracias a las donaciones, desde particulares que hacen aportaciones puntuales o periódicas, a empresas amigas, a través de sus programas de responsabilidad social corporativa y Fundaciones. Su objetivo es integral porque “aunque nos centramos, sobre todo, en ofrecer educación y sanidad de calidad al máximo número de personas, la comunidad tiene otras deficiencias, que también requieren de nuestra ayuda. Además, todo lo hacemos en un ambiente familiar donde todos se sienten parte del proyecto y saben que estamos ahí para lo que necesiten”, nos explica Montse Martínez. Los logros de Babies Uganda pueden contarse en datos, pero especialmente, en personas. Pensando en ellas, Montse, Maribel y María, siguen trabajando a diario para continuar y ampliar este proyecto, que está transformando la realidad de miles de personas. EVERYTHING HELPS, EVERYTHING MATTERS AND EVERYTHING COUNTS All the projects are directed and managed by Montse and Maribel from Spain, while María coordinates them on the groundwith the unconditional help of Tony, a trustedmember of Kikaya who has been with the team from the start. The projects are mainly financed by members of the public who make regular or one-off donations, or partner companies through their corporate social responsibility programmes and foundations. Their aims are far-reaching because “although we focus on offering quality education and healthcare to as many people as possible, the community lacks other things that also require our help. Moreover, it all takes place in a family atmosphere where everyone feels part of the project and knows that we will help with whatever we can”, Montse Martínez explains. While the achievements of Babies Uganda can be measured with data, people are more important. With them in mind, Montse, Maribel and María keep working every day so that the project can continue to grow, transforming the reality faced by thousands of people.
