23 ACTUALIDAD Martin Pescador Vilató no solo ha diseñado el cartel de este hito, sino que imaginó la escenografía para la corrida, interviniendo las tablas de la barrera, burladeros y medallones. En un ejercicio de comunión absoluta entre el espacio y la materia, el artista utilizó el albero del ruedo como pigmento, fusionando el soporte con la propia tierra que pisan el toro y el torero. Una obra efímera y visceral que conecta la vanguardia actual con la memoria de una de las sagas más universales del arte. Una vez más, el artista ha plasmado en su obra los contrastes y trazos y cómo el mismo dice “no me interesa contar una corrida sino fijar la tensión que la sostiene”. Vilató not only designed the poster for the event, but also created the imagery for the bullfight, working on the protective barriers and medallions. In an act of seamless communion between the space and material, the artist used the sand from the bullring as a pigment, merging the medium with the earth on which the bull and bullfighter face each other. Ephemeral and visceral artwork that bridges the contemporary avant-garde and the legacy of one of the art world's best-known families. Yet again, the artist’s work portrays contrasts and brush strokes, and as he himself says, “I’m not interested in capturing a bullfight, but rather the tension that defines it”.
