Her father was an architect and artist from Cuba; her mother was the first to commission her: if she painted a mural in the dining room and 14 chairs, she would pay for a trip to Japan. Unwittingly, that was the start of the career of one of Spain’s most important muralists, who nowadays has a waiting list.
