Lo que más me atrae, es encontrar el diseño perfecto para ese espacio, el dialogo entre el cliente y mi equipo, es un trabajo conjunto en el que nos adaptamos todos para crear un lugar con alma. Me gusta dedicar tiempo a la parte de investigación y al diseño, para que luego fluya la pintura sin frenos ni dudas. Es un mundo en el que me gusta envolverme, cuando estoy pintando es como si me escondiera en un bosque. ¿Es por esto que tu trabajo es tan ecléctico? Sí, cada proyecto es distinto porque depende de la necesidad del cliente y porque me gusta, al igual que a ellos, que la obra sea personalizada. Varía también el estilo en función la luz, del espacio, si es un restaurante, una vivienda, un hotel... Es un trabajo artesanal y colaborativo. ¿Qué importancia tiene la materia prima en tus murales? ¿Influye tu formación y experiencia en restauración? La materia prima es fundamental para la durabilidad, utilizo los mejores pigmentos y acrílicos para que el mural envejezca bien. Enmi estudio experimento constantemente con nuevos materiales para ver cómo reaccionan a la luz, la humedad y el paso del tiempo. Me siento con la responsabilidad de que la obra perdure The wall is your canvas. What do you find most appealing about murals? The main attraction is finding the perfect design for the space, the dialogue between the client and my team. It’s a team effort where we all adapt to create a place with soul. I like devoting time to the research side and design so that the painting itself flows freely and confidently. It's a world I like immersing myself in; when I’m painting, it’s as if I’m hiding in a forest. Is that why your work is so eclectic? Yes, each project is different because it depends on what the client needs and, just like them, I like the work to be bespoke. The style also changes according to the light, space, or whether it’s a restaurant, home, a hotel... It’s the collaborative work of an artisan. How important are the raw materials in your murals? Are they influenced by your training and experience in restoration? The raw materials are essential for it to be long-lasting; I use the best pigments and acrylics so that themural ages well. I’m constantly experimenting in my studio with new materials to see how they react to light, moisture and the passing of time. I feel responsible for making the work of art last.
