Tras la edición del libro Historia del Polo en España, escrito por Elma Caballero en 2017, y tras largas conversaciones con su hija, Elma Martel, decidieron que había que rescatar ese patrimonio visual del polo que descubrieron. Lo que comenzó como el deseo terminó convirtiéndose en la marca Broken Tako, donde acercan el polo y su estilo de vida al presente.
